Following the incidents that occurred in Paris last Friday, we are currently reviewing all available information and will seek to inform and advise businesses as soon as we can.
Sir Bernard Hogan Howe said ‘ London and Paris are linked as two of the world’s capital cities and we stand prepared to help in any way. My thoughts and those of the Met officers and staff are with Paris and men and woman whose job it is to deal with this horrific situation’.
Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said “The relationship between the public and police needs to be stronger than ever. The public may notice changes to policing including ports, streets and major events in the UK. We can’t let terrorists defeat us.’
Police forces across the country are currently examining their policing responses and adapting them where appropriate.
We recommend that all business review their continuity plans and ensure their staff are trained to respond to incidents.
The threat from International Terrorism to the United Kingdom remains at SEVERE – an attack is highly likely.
The National Coordinator Protect and Prepare and Metropolitan Police Service will seek to provide updates through CSSC in relation to this incident.
